In 2018, my dad gave me a jewelry box for my birthday. It is beautifully made and stained, functional, and customizable to fit any jewelry I want.

When we found ourselves in need of a stand for our flat-screen TV to match our oak entertainment center, we learned that the manufacturer had gone out of business. We searched high and low for two years and thankfully found Richard. He came to our home, took measurements, and designed a beautiful stand. It matches the entertainment center perfectly down to door and shelf heights. The color match is impeccable. You would never know it wasn’t one of the original components of the entertainment center.

I ride horses and my dad built a tack box for me. A tack box holds all my horse riding supplies. He did research on what they usually look like and then asked me for specific requests. It is beautiful, customized, and fits all my things perfectly.

My dad made a big treehouse for us in our backyard. It has served many purposes over the years; a picnic spot, a place to play games, as well as a place to get away and relax. He poured a lot of his time and energy into making it the perfect treehouse.

For as long as I can remember my dad has been building as much of our furniture as is practical. I’ve watched his woodworking skills improve vastly over the years, along with his arsenal of tools. From a few small pieces of furniture in nearly every room of our house, to a set of four loft beds for me and each of my sisters, to a massive playset at our old house and a multi-storied treehouse at our new one, my dad has built some incredible things.
