Description

This is a desk that I made for my youngest daughter’s birthday in 2017. At the time that I made this, it felt like a very ambitious project. There were a few hiccups along the way, as there always are, however, I was really pleased with how it turned out. The top and shelves were made from plywood from Home Depot – birch, I believe. The rest is Select Pine also from Home Depot. I applied Minwax Golden Oak stain and several coats of Minwax Polyurethane. The top has a few extra coats and a good deal of sanding between coats to get a really smooth and durable finish.

Testimonial

In 2017, my dad gave me a desk for my birthday. He put in a lot of effort and it has paid off. It is not only functional but it is also beautiful. I use it every day and there is not one sign of wear and tear at all.
