Description

I recently finished and delivered this 30″ by 48″ walnut coffee table. A few months ago I made a black bookcase for a home office in a nearby lake community. The house was located on Tellico Lake. While delivering the bookcase, I mentioned to the client that I made custom wall hangings with epoxy-filled lakes. She asked if I could do something like that on a table and this project was born.

Over the next few weeks, we discussed and finalized the details. The result is what you see here. The top is made of solid walnut with a final thickness of 1-1/2 inches. The legs, purchased from Etsy, are simple and made of steel. I ordered them with the extra clear protectant coating since this piece is on a screened porch.

It is finished with several coats of Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane in Clear Satin.

Testimonial

I recently had the pleasure of working with Liberating Wood to create a custom-made table, and I am absolutely thrilled with the result! From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless and exceeded my expectations in every way. The craftsmanship is impeccable—every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and the quality is top-notch. The table is not just a piece of furniture; it’s a work of art that perfectly fits my space and style. The team was professional, responsive, and clearly passionate about their craft. They kept me updated throughout the process, and the end result is nothing short of stunning. I have received countless compliments from friends and family. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone in search of quality, custom-made furniture.
